NASA WEB ·Astronomy Today The Hubble Space Telescope Deep Field View has been a highly discussed view of our known universe. Hubble has shown us there is much more to our universe that we thought even possible . We now estimate there to be more than 100 billion galaxies in the universe. We estimate that each galaxy has 100 billion or more stars, and that each star has at least one or more planets. This means at a minimum, there are more than 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 SEXTILLION planets in the...

NASA WEB · SETI Institute This stunning image of the reflection nebula Messier 78 was captured using the Wide Field Imager camera on the MPG/ESO 2.2-metre telescope at the La Silla Observatory, Chile. This color composite image was created from many monochrome exposures taken through blue, yellow/green and red filters, supplemented by exposures through a filter that isolates light from glowing hydrogen gas.
